Want to participate but don’t feel like you have any time / don’t feel very creative? Here are some low-cost, easy ideas to get you started!
Photos
- Take a photo of something in the 804 area code. Maybe it’s something recognizable, maybe it’s something personal or local.
- Print it out at a local shop (some places that print photos for very low cost, and probably will even mail them to you: Richmond Professional Lab, CVS, Walgreens, Staples)
- Find a nice frame on your local Buy Nothing Group or a nearby thrift store (suggestion: Diversity Thrift)
- Optional: decorate frame with supplies from craft store (suggestion: SCRAP RVA)
- Put your photo into your frame. Voilà!
RVA Logo or Virginia Outline
- Print out the RVA Logo (there used to be a generator to create your own, but that seems to have gone away, sadly); OR
- Print out an outline of Virginia
- Create your design on top of the printout using whatever supplies you have – paints, colored pencils, markers, crayons, mosaics from magazines, found objects.
- Optional: put it in a frame (see above)!
